LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Fontainebleau Las Vegas has announced a debut in December as it launches its new online recruiting platform.
It’s the first time the company has confirmed a target opening month for the long-gestating casino resort.
The company Fontainebleau Development says the website, careers.fontainebleaulasvegas.com, is live as of Tuesday. It’s considered a milestone for the 67-story luxury resort.
Thousands of hospitality professionals are expected to be hired as part of the inaugural team, according to the company, with employees referred to as members.
Recruitment will launch in phases, with hiring for management and leadership positions taking place in the spring and summer. Wider recruitment will take place in the fall.
The career portal will offer prospective applicants information on benefits, work/life, 401k retirement plans and other discounts.
Located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip at the corner of Elvis Presley Boulevard, Fontainebleau has been in various stages of development since 2007. Work stopped in 2009 due to the Great Recession and the building sat mostly silent at 75% completion until Fontainebleau and Koch Real Estate Investments bought the property.
Executives say the resort will feature about 3,700 hotel rooms and 550,000 square feet of convention space.
