Redevelopment Agency

Prioritizing Redevelopment

The focus of the Clark County Redevelopment Agency (CCRDA) is to create a coordinated effort to address mature areas of unincorporated Clark County that may be experiencing blight and decreased social, financial and economic investment.

The CCRDA was originally approved in December 2003 with three redevelopment areas. As a result of the Great Recession, the CCRDA was put on hiatus in 2009 and subsequently brought back in 2021. In 2024, four new redevelopment areas were added to the plan.

These seven redevelopment areas represent a cross-section of commission districts, neighborhoods, property types and sizes, and market needs. This includes the Historic Commercial Center (area 1) and emerging cultural districts of Chinatown (area 5) and Koreatown (area 6).

The CCRDA is a separate and distinct organization from Clark County; however, the Clark County Board of Commissioners serves as the CCRDA’s board of directors.  CCRDA items requiring board discussion and approval may be taken at a separate CCRDA meeting or may be addressed at regular county commission meetings, each of which will be properly noticed as a public meeting.
