LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada closed out 2022 with its 22nd straight month of surpassing $1 billion in gaming win.
Casinos in the state recorded a win revenue of more than $1.31 billion in December, according to new figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
That’s an increase of over 14% compared to the same month in 2021, when the gaming win was about $1.15 billion.
On the Las Vegas Strip, casinos had a gaming win of $814.2 billion, up 25% compared to December a year ago.
December was a busy month for Las Vegas, which saw the return of the annual National Finals Rodeo, the Pac-12 football championship game, the Las Vegas Bowl and New Year’s Eve festivities.
In terms of percentage fee collections, Nevada collected $66.7 million based on the taxable revenue generated in December.
