Start Your Career in Emergency Medical Services with the Clark County EMT Academy

Clark County, in partnership with Workforce Connections, presents the EMT Academy—a fast-track, no-cost training program for residents interested in emergency medical services (EMS). This nine-week academy aims to address the local EMT shortage while creating a pipeline of trained professionals to serve our community.

Why Apply?

  • Free Training: No cost to participants. Stipends and support services available.
  • No Experience Needed: Open to Clark County residents 18+ with a high school diploma or GED. No prior experience required.
  • Fast-Track Career: Two-week bootcamp in March, followed by EMT training from April to June. Be ready for a basic EMT role by early summer.
  • Career Growth: Progress from Basic EMT to Advanced EMT or Paramedic training.

Program Details:

  • Pre-Academy Bootcamp: March 3-14, 2025
  • Academy Training: April 7–June 2025
  • Eligibility: Clark County residents, 18+, with a high school diploma or GED and no felony convictions
  • Deadline: Apply by February 7, 2025
