LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A new addition to The Strip broke ground on Friday morning.
The 20-story hotel and casino will feature 531 rooms along with restaurants, nightlife spots and a pool — everything you come to expect from Las Vegas resort.
The development will cost $550 million offering guests a destination close to the airport.
It’s bringing jobs too: more than 4,200 construction jobs and around 800 permanent jobs.
Bill Shopoff with Shopoff Realty Investments said they chose the location on the Strip because of its visibility thanks to something iconic nearby.
“We actually love the fact that we are right adjacent to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. And millions of visitors a year are going to be taking that snapshot, and Dream Las Vegas is going to be in the backdrop, so that was something that was definitely in our mind from the day we acquired the site,” Shopoff said.
The resort is expected to open in late 2024.
