Las Vegas (KSNV) — A new report finds Nevada to have one of the lowest real-estate property taxes in the country, following the release of recent housing numbers on Tuesday.
According to a report by WalletHub, Nevada has the fourth lowest real-estate property taxes, just behind Colorado, Alamaba, and Hawaii.
Researchers looked at different factors like media home value and annual taxes and ranked each state based on the effective real-estate tax rate, which for Nevada was .55%.
Hawaii saw the lowest real-estate tax rate, with .29%.
New Jersey, Illinois, and Connecticut were just some states with the highest real-estate property taxes, with rates higher than 2%.
