Clark County benefits from a diverse population which is 38% Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) with in the unincorporated areas and 31% within incorporated cities, and Clark County recognizes its duty to the BIPOC communities and women in business. BDAC serves to facilitate the growth of disadvantaged businesses throughout the county by promoting equal business opportunity programs, advising the Board of County Commissioners on methods to provide more equitable access to vital business information and reporting to the Board annually about council activities. BDAC also partners with Nevada’s entrepreneurial office to identify new businesses and opportunities.
BDAC is composed of qualified volunteers selected by the Board of County Commissioners. Members serve two-year terms, with the potential for consecutive terms.
