Clark County in partnership with Workforce Connections is proud to present the EMT Academy. The EMT Academy is to provide a career pathway for those interested in emergency medical services (EMS) and other related healthcare fields. The EMT Academy intends to create a pipeline of locally grown EMS providers that want to serve the communities they live and grew up in. Targeted recruitment will take place in areas of high need to fill vacancies throughout Clark County. The EMT Academy will focus on training Basic EMTs and provide a career ladder approach for progression to those interested in Advanced EMT and/or Paramedic training. Due to the pace and rigor of the programs, Basic EMT and Advanced EMT trainees will be provided a stipend and supportive services as needed to remove barriers that would impede successful completion of the academy.
